In early 2008 the Vestry of Holy Nativity Parish agreed to radically alter the
grounds around the church buildings by tearing out old juniper bushes and lawn
and planting a Community Garden. The Community Garden has inspired additional
projects to help provide fresh, organic food for our neighbors in need. The
original Garden is expanding to include fruit trees and a Medicinal Herb Garden,
We have also started Harvest
Westchester an initiative to gather excess fruit from trees in our community
and deliver it to the Food Pantry LAX.
