Everyday Chinese Cooking Class March 9
I am really excited for our next cooking class, The Everyday Chinese Cooking Class on Thursday, March 9, 2017, 6:00 - 9:30 pm at the Holy Nativity Community Hall. If you like authentic Chinese food, you will not want to miss this one. We will be making recipes from my new friend, Katie Chin's Everyday Chinese Cookbook: 101 Delicious Recipes from My Mother's Kitchen. Everything I've tried from her cookbook is super easy to make and tastes so authentic.
These are authentic recipes from Leeann Chin's popular Minneapolis restaurants, where my family ate regularly. I met Katie when we were assigned to be roommates at a food bloggers camp a few years ago. We soon discovered that we both grew up in Minneapolis, and then I realized that Katie was the daughter of the famous Leeann Chin, a celebrity with my family.
Katie launched the Everyday Chinese Cookbook last year and will hopefully be on hand to autograph her book that you can purchase for $25 at our Cooking Class. It's filled with photos and wonderful memories honoring her mother, in addition to tantalizing photos of the recipes you will want to make.
Here’s what we will be making at the Everyday Chinese Cooking Class:
- Shrimp Potstickers - learn how easy it is to pleat the dumplings
- Sichuan Tofu with Broccoli
- Lemon Chicken - Leeann Chin's signature dish
- Dan Dan Noodles with Ground Turkey
- Chocolate-Raspberry Wontons - made with Nutella
Patricia K. Rose, of Fresh Food in a Flash, will lead this hands-on cooking class on Thursday, March 9, 2017, 6:00-9:30 at the newly remodeled Holy Nativity Community Hall in Westchester. Once we complete the cooking, sit down and enjoy a meal you and your new friends made together with a glass of wine.
Cooking Class fee $50 when you reserve by March 6, $60 thereafter if space available. To reserve your spot, email [email protected]
