Let There Be Joy: Annual Benefit Concert and Fundraiser
There is nowhere else to be on Saturday, November 19, at 6:00 P.M. – the happening place is Holy Nativity Episcopal Church. Our annual raffle and fundraiser this year features “We The Folk,” a fiery folk fusion of music coming to your ears. With acoustic guitar, violin, accordion, bass, percussion, and plenty of voice, this Los Angeles-based band sings the songs of Cali-folk, young and old, and gives everyone a reason to dance. We The Folk has assumed the genre of “LA Folk,” happily representing the voice of the Angeleno and enveloping its audiences in a dynamic and energetic experience.
And the raffle prizes this year are over the top: four top-notch prizes, including Laker tickets and a trip to Santa Barbara along with others. Tickets are $15 for one, $25 for two, and $50 for five. Tickets are on sale the whole month of November.
This evening will begin at 6:00 with the We The Folk concert and a dessert reception to follow. Tickets will be sold at the door. Entrance is $15 and $10 for students. Raffle tickets will be available at the concert, and the raffle drawing will conclude the evening.
Holy Nativity Episcopal Church is located 6700 West 83rd Street in Westchester between Sepulveda and Lincoln boulevards. For more information, visit our website at www.holynativityparish.org or call 310.670.4777.
It is our custom at Holy Nativity to invite you to bring a can, box, or bag of food any time that you come onto our campus so that we can continue to supply Food Pantry LAX to help those in need during these tough economic times.
“We CAN with one CAN.”
