National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims
September 25 has been designated by Congress as “National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims.” Two of every three victims are killed by a firearm. This Sunday hundreds of concerts and event will take place across the country, sponsored by a network of organizations (both secular and faith based), with the goal of keeping guns out of dangerous hands and making gun violence and prevention a priority for Congress and the rest of America.
Holy Nativity will be joining this network with special music and a guest speaker, The Reverend Dr. Ron David, a medical doctor (pediatrician), who is also an Episcopal priest. Dr. David will address the gun violence and children.
We will also honor the day with a potluck after the 10:30 service. Please bring a dish to share for 8 to 10 people as we gather for a time of fellowship.
Thank you.
